Welcome Message from Pastor Richard Brockway
 There is one thing that excites me about the church. It is a place where we can experience Jesus Christ as the one who calls us to be his friend (John 15:15). A place where we can learn of those like Abraham who was a friend of God and Moses who knew God face to face (James 2:23; Deut. 34:10). And it is a place where we can find true friendship among the family of God.
There was a time when I longed for a friend. The kind that would always be there for me. A friend who would have the time to listen to my heart and understand me totally. A friend who would make me feel loved and accepted unconditionally. I found such a friend when I opened my heart to Jesus Christ. And I found real family and fellowship in the church of Jesus Christ.
Now, I have dedicated my life to helping people find a friendship with God that is both fulfilling and satisfying. So many times, we depend on earthly friends to give us what we need. But they cannot do it all for us. Knowing that God loves you and wants to be your friend is the most wonderful discovery in life. Think of how children would be impacted if Moms and Dads were enjoying real fellowship with God.
Have you ever thought about having God as your friend? It is an amazing thing! How would your life be different if you had a friend who was all powerful, all knowing, everywhere present, totally trustworthy, supremely loving, and forgiving? Our Lord invites you to become his friend. He has taken the first step by coming to this earth and showing us his love, when he died on the cross and rose again, he made the way for us to be accepted and forgiven...forever. Now he waits for your response. He waits for you to open your heart and ask him to be your Lord, your Master, your Friend.
